Mike Pence on Iranian Anti-Regime Protests: ‘Revolution in the Making’

March 17, 2023 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

Current anti-regime protests in Iran are a “revolution in the making,” according to former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, who blasted the Biden and Obama administrations for their ineffectiveness at combating Iranian threats, while warning that a renewed nuclear deal would pave a path “in gold” for the Islamic Republic to attain a nuclear bomb. Appearing at a Washington summit hosted by the Organization of Iranian American Communities (OIAC) in support of a free and democratic Iran on Saturday, Pence addressed Iranian anti-regime activists, delivering a major foreign policy speech focusing on the Islamic Regime. He pointed to the “common cause” he shared with the Iranian-Americans in attendance: “the liberation of the Iranian people from decades of tyranny, and the rebirth of a free, peaceful, prosperous and democratic Iran.” Pence went on to say: I know I speak on behalf of tens of millions of Americans, of both political parties and of every political philosophy, when … [Read more...] about Mike Pence on Iranian Anti-Regime Protests: ‘Revolution in the Making’

3D-printed anti-tank weapons are under development

March 15, 2023 by www.techspot.com Leave a Comment

In a nutshell: In recent years, 3D-printed firearms have attracted controversy to the relatively new fabrication technology. Now some groups are designing 3D-printed weapons capable of firing explosive payloads. This new tier of weapons appears to be in its infancy but could develop into something more practical and dangerous. A recent report from Vice highlights multiple people and groups trying to use 3D printing to make cheap and effective rocket and grenade launchers. So far, the designs haven't spread, much less appeared in conflict zones, but are advancing steadily. A company called D&S Creations recently posted a video on YouTube demonstrating its attempts to recreate the AT-4 recoilless anti-tank rocket launcher. The designers managed to 3D print explosive rounds capable of neutralizing a tank but are far from getting a 3D-printed launcher to fire them accurately and safely. Initial tests required a wire attached to the launcher to guide the rocket to its target, … [Read more...] about 3D-printed anti-tank weapons are under development

Elon Musk might be working on an ‘anti-woke’ version of ChatGPT – and that sucks for AI

February 28, 2023 by www.techradar.com Leave a Comment

The explosion in popularity of the ChatGPT artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot is one to be admired and feared (just a little), and we’re seeing more and more companies scramble to include it in their products as quickly as possible. Meta and Twitter are likely to be next in the Silicon Valley Scramble for AI, and no one seems to be sure what this might mean for users. We’ve already witnessed the breakdowns of Microsoft’s new ChatGPT-powered Bing and how quickly Microsoft had to act to try and fix the issues the chatbot was facing. A lot of the fixes that had to be made were centred around the way people interacted with Bing AI, ‘jailbreaking’ the bot, getting inaccurate answers and how the bot generally freaked out when confronted with its own existence. A relatable feeling, sure, but these are all problems that had to be dealt with swiftly because of how rushed the rollout of the product was. Without proper foresight, it’s likely that we’ll continue to see numerous errors … [Read more...] about Elon Musk might be working on an ‘anti-woke’ version of ChatGPT – and that sucks for AI

Manchin Slams Biden’s ‘Radical Policy Agenda’ After Vetoing Anti-ESG Bill

March 21, 2023 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) slammed President Joe Biden for vetoing a bipartisan anti-ESG bill and prioritizing a “radical policy agenda” over getting the “best financial returns for millions of Americans’ retirement investments.” “This Administration continues to prioritize their radical policy agenda over the economic, energy, and national security needs of our country, and it is absolutely infuriating,” stated Manchin, who is up for reelection this cycle. Manchin was referring to Biden issuing his first veto on Monday to reject a bipartisan bill, H.R. 30, that would nullify his Labor Department rule allowing left-wing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies to be considered in retirement investing. “West Virginians are under increasing stress as we continue to recover from a once in a generation pandemic, pay the bills amid record inflation, and face the largest land war in Europe since World War II,” Manchin continued. “The Administration’s unrelenting campaign to … [Read more...] about Manchin Slams Biden’s ‘Radical Policy Agenda’ After Vetoing Anti-ESG Bill

Anti-piracy coalition helped dismantle Evo piracy group

March 16, 2023 by www.techspot.com Leave a Comment

In brief: Also known as EVOLUTiON, EVO was a prominent release group in the P2P piracy scene. The "crew" stopped releasing new content at the end of 2022, and the reason has now become clear: Portuguese authorities have arrested the group "leaders." Working with Portuguese authorities in an investigation that is still ongoing, the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) has seemingly brought the leaders of EVOLUTiON to justice. The group known as "EVO" was one of the most active "releasers" within the P2P scene, and it was likely targeted by the movie industry for its remarkable ability to leak "screeners" and original Blu-ray copies to internet pirates worldwide. As revealed by TorrentFreak , EVO stopped providing new content at the end of the past year. Until November 2022, the group was uploading a dozen new titles every week. EVO is (or likely was) a high-profile crew active in the P2P market, which is the "lesser" provider of pirated contents within the articulate … [Read more...] about Anti-piracy coalition helped dismantle Evo piracy group

March 30, 2023 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

Young anti-gun protesters blocked the path of a Tennessee legislator while in the state capitol and had to be moved by state troopers, footage captured by Breitbart News reveals. Three young men stood with linked arms in front of a restroom that was being used by a Tennessee legislator, blocking his path as he tried to exit. Spencer Lindquist / Breitbart News One protester blocking the legislator held a sign that read “When will our lives matter more than your ‘right?'” The protesters remained at the exit of the bathroom despite state troopers attempting to push through the line. The protester was then pulled into the bathroom by a state trooper as others continued to block the doorway. Other troopers rushed to the scene to escort the legislator through the crowd and back to the chamber. Today’s insurrection at the Tennessee Capitol is the most dangerous attack on our democracy since the Civil War. I’m shuddering right now as I type this. NC Anti-Rioting Bill to Become Law Without Gov. Roy Cooper’s Signature

A North Carolina bill, designed to increase penalties for rioting, will become law without the signature of Gov. Roy Cooper (D). House Bill 40, a piece of legislation designed to create new penalties for inciting or participating in a riot, was presented to Cooper on March 10. Cooper explained in a statement he would neither sign nor veto the bill, having already vetoed similar legislation the previous year. North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper. (Julia Wall/The News & Observer via AP, File) “I acknowledge that changes were made to modify this legislation’s effect after my veto of a similar bill last year,” he said. “Property damage and violence are already illegal and my continuing concerns about the erosion of the First Amendment and the disparate impacts on communities of color will prevent me from signing this legislation.” The bill codifies new felony and misdemeanor charges for “[a]ny person who willfully engages in” or incites a riot. Kevin Hart Rejects Anti-Trump Political Grandstanding: My Job is ‘To Make People Laugh’

August 10, 2017 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

Comedy superstar Kevin Hart is opening up about why he doesn’t see the value of trashing President Donald Trump. “The way that I see it, my job as a comedian is to spread positivity. To make people laugh,” the highest-grossing comedian on the planet said in an interview with the Daily Beast. “And I don’t want to draw attention to what’s already pissing us as a people off.” It’s a sentiment the What Now star first explained earlier this month in an interview with Variety, in which he said avoiding politically-charged comedy keeps him from “alienating” a portion of his audience. “When you jump into that political realm you’re alienating some of your audience,” Hart said in May. In this April 13, 2016 file photo, Kevin Hart, addresses the audience during the Universal Pictures presentation at CinemaCon 2016 in Las Vegas. March 28, 2023 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

India’s parliament, the Lok Sabha, on Monday was roiled by angry protests from opposition members against the expulsion of India Congress Party (INC) leader Rahul Gandhi. Speaker Om Birla was forced to adjourn the session twice after black-clad opposition MPs threw pieces of paper at him, drowned out the proceedings with loud shouts, and chanted protest slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his BJP party. (Sanjeev Verma/Hindustan Times via Getty Images) Gandhi, the most prominent member of INC but not presently its chief officer, was convicted of defaming Modi last week and sentenced to two years in prison. Parliament then followed a provision of the Indian legal code and expelled Gandhi from his seat last Friday because his conviction made him ineligible to serve even while he is out on bail and filing appeals. … [Read more...] about Angry Indian Opposition Lawmakers Shut Down Parliament over Expulsion of Anti-Modi Leader

‘Lemonade’: Beyoncé Drops Album Full of Feminist, Black Lives Matter Propaganda in HBO Special

April 24, 2016 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

Pop superstar Beyoncé’s sixth studio album, Lemonade, was released Saturday on her and husband Jay-Z’s music streaming service Tidal — as well as in the form of a full-length visual presentation on HBO. The 12 song offering is a 45 minute medley of themes that include black nationalist feminism, infidelity, and, of course, love. The HBO special opens with an incensed, baseball bat-wielding Beyoncé retaliating against an unfaithful lover. The singer is seen dancing through the streets of New Orleans smashing car windows, driving a monster truck over a row of rusted cars, and taking a bat to a New Orleans Police Department surveillance camera . Roger Friedman of Showbiz 411 isolates that music video, for the song “Hold Up,” noting the lyrics “I’m gonna f*** me up a bitch.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eq67ngbMCjE Lemonade is rife with references to racial politics. The film features the mothers of Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin, two black men whose deaths were used … [Read more...] about ‘Lemonade’: Beyoncé Drops Album Full of Feminist, Black Lives Matter Propaganda in HBO Special
