On a more positive note, the touchscreen features of the display work really well, especially for such a small screen. When youâre shooting photos, you can tap on the screen to expose your shot for that part of the image â thatâs really useful if youâre shooting a darker subject against a bright sky, for instance. To review your pictures, you just swipe left to right, and then flip through old shots by swiping between them. The first time you load a particular picture, it takes about three seconds to process, but the interface is otherwise seamless. You can double-tap a picture to zoom in, and then tap once to re-focus on a particular spot. Panasonic has sacrificed a few features, both to meet its price point and to end up with a lightweight build. The G100 isn’t weather-sealed, so it’s not a great choice for vlogging during inclement weather. And for video, the G100 relies on a hybrid of in-body electronic image stabilization and support for lens-based OIS through its Micro Four Thirds compatibility. Canon and Fujifilm also have apps that let you use their cameras as webcams over USB, though they have the added benefit of letting you output directly to a Zoom call without having to go through OBS.
