Now a report has claimed a group of employees staged protests in the US this week at the company’s headquarters in California and New York. As per a report by Bloomberg, a group of employees protested outside the company’s offices in Mountain View, California, on Wednesday in a bid to attract attention to labour conditions for sub-contracted workers and to support thousands of their recently laid-off co-workers. YouTube introduced its TikTok rival -- YouTube Shorts in 2020. Now YouTube Shorts has surpassed 50 billion daily views. Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai has announced during the fourth quarter earnings call that YouTube Shorts has surpassed 50 billion daily views. The social media platform surpassed the 30 billion daily views mark last year. The company further added that this increase will reward creators and help improve the Shorts experience for everyone. Alphabet also revealed that the company saw continued growth in the subscription business with YouTube Music and Premium surpassing 80 million subscribers, including trials. Oppo is all set to launch its new Reno 8 series smartphone in India today. The Chinese smartphone maker will launch the Oppo Reno 8T 5G and Enco Air3 true wireless earbuds in the country. Facebook-parent Meta has said that it took down 34 million pieces of bad content in India in the month of December. Out of these roughly 34 million content pieces, over 22.54 million pieces of content are on Facebook and over 12.03 million pieces of content are on Instagram . Facebook received 764 reports As per the report, Facebook received 764 reports through the Indian grievance mechanism between December 1 and December 31. The company said it provided tools for users to resolve their issues in 345 cases. Als je dacht dat de Apple Watch Ultra met 1,92-inch scherm groot was, zet je dan maar schrap. De volgende Apple Watch Ultra zou namelijk een nog groter scherm kunnen hebben volgens een nieuw lek. Deze info komt van DigiTimes (opens in new tab) , die beweert (via BGR (opens in new tab) ) dat Apple in 2024 een versie van de Apple Watch Ultra zal uitbrengen met een 2,1-inch scherm. Daarnaast zou het zijn OLED-scherm inruilen voor een nieuw microLED-display. Dat helderder kunnen zijn, meer levendige kleuren weergeven en makkelijker te zien zijn uit verschillende kijkhoeken.
