Business communications platform Dialpad on Tuesday announced that it's raised $50 million in Series D funding led by ICONIQ Capital, with Andreessen Horowitz also participating. The round brings Dialpad's total capital raised to date to $120 million.Dialpad is the company behind the conference calling system UberConference. It also makes a suite of apps for voice and video communications, as well as customer service call center management software. Dialpad's co-founder and CEO Craig Walker was co-founder of GrandCentral, a VoIP company acquired by Google in 2007 that would later become Google Voice.Recently, Dialpad shelled out $50 million to buy TalkIQ, a company whose software uses AI to transcribe conference calls in real time. TEL AVIV (Reuters) - Israeli team management software provider Monday.com said on Wednesday it raised $50 million in a new funding round, bringing the total raised so far to $84 million. New York-based growth equity firm Stripes Group led the round with participation from existing investors, including Insight Venture Partners and Entree Capital. In addition, the company secured a strategic line of credit of tens of millions of dollars from LeumiTech, the technology arm of Israel’s Bank Leumi. Launched in 2014 with offices in Tel Aviv and New York, Monday.com is a platform that connects people to workplace processes, manages workloads and tracks projects. Paying customers include Carlsberg Group, Discovery Channel and McDonald’s. Lucidworks, a company that meshes big data with artificial intelligence (AI) to help companies build smart search-based applications, has raised $50 million in a round of funding led by Top Tier Capital Partners, with participation from Silver Lake’s growth capital fund, Silver Lake Waterman. Founded out of California in 2007, Lucidworks’ platform enables companies to design and develop search technology into myriad applications, from financial services to ecommerce. It basically allows companies to build intelligent search features into their products without having to build their own systems from scratch, and enables them to better compete with the likes of Amazon or Google. Intel has been strongarmed by ARM Holdings, the British RISC processor architecture company that is behind the design of CPUs and GPUs currently delivering the performance of our smartphones and tablets on a fraction of Intel processors' power consumption. The chip giant knows it missed the boat so far, and is aiming to quickly catch up.
