In the Union Budget for 2023-24, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman had good news for startups. She proposed to extend tax holiday offered to startups under the Startup India scheme. Among other big ticket announcements, FM said that the government will launch 'Aatmanirbhar Clean Plant Programme', Agriculture Accelerator Fund and more. ChatGPT sets a new record in technology industry, here’s what it is

Microsoft-backed artificial intelligence research startup OpenAI launched the AI chatbot ChatGPT in November 2022. Since its launch, the chatbot has gone viral for its ability to process prompts and deliver human-like writings including -- essays, articles, jokes, job applications and even poems. According to a report by Reuters, analysts have said that the popular AI chatbot has reached 100 million users within two months of its release. As per the report, an analysis conducted by data firm Similarweb claims that in January, ChatGPT had about 590 million visits from 100 million unique users. India will set up 100 5G labs to develop new apps, services: FM during Union Budget

As telecom operators roll out 5G services in India, the central government has announced plans to set up 100 labs in the top engineering institutions across the country to develop apps and services for the next-generation network. "To realise new opportunities, business models and employment potential, the 5G labs will cover applications such as smart classrooms, precision farming, intelligent transport systems and healthcare applications," said finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her Union Budget 2023-24 speech. India rolled out 5G services in October last year. Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have launched 5G in more than 200 cities and towns across India. enkash: RBI grants in-principle approval for payment aggregator licence to EnKash

Fintech startup EnKash has got in-principle approval from RBI for payment aggregator's licence, the company said. The licence will enable EnKash to broaden its product offerings to millions of businesses for digital transactions. Founded in 2018, EnKash claims to have assisted 1 lakh businesses to digitise and decentralise their corporate payments. "RBI's in-principle approval to EnKash reiterates the need for digital solutions to manage business cash flows in an efficient way to sustain growth and profitability. This will help us streamline the cash flow process for businesses where they will be able to seamlessly consolidate their all payable and receivable and make necessary actions around payments," EnKash co-founder Yadvendra Tyagi said.
