Hi! I bought a brand new PC near Christmas last year, but I'm having some issues with dual Channel Memory . I have an ASUS A320M motherboard, ryzen 5 2600 and 2x8gbd ddr4 2400mH memory. However, from my tests, only one slot dimm is working: both memories work if put individualy on dimm A, however no Memory work when put in dimm B; also my BIOS does not recognize any Memory in dimm B. What should I do? Is the motherboard faulty? … [Read more...] about 2x8gb ddr4 not working
Source: Samsung Apple isn’t the only tech juggernaut revising its earnings guidance for the most recent financial quarter. Samsung announced that it will do the same due to declining memory demand and dwindling smartphone sales. The company believes it made an operating profit of approximately 10.8 trillion won ($9.67 billion) in the quarter that ended December 2018; that’s about 18 percent less than the 13.2 trillion won ($11.7 billion) analysts had expected. It’s also roughly 29 percent lower than what Samsung reported during the same quarter back in 2017. Samsung, like Apple, blamed part of the problem on lower-than-expected sales of its latest smartphones. This implies that the problem doesn’t lie with a single company. Instead, it might be time to reconsider the idea that many people will buy a new phone every year. (Or that people who don’t already have smartphones will finally get them.) But that’s a problem for the smartphone makers—and … [Read more...] about Samsung Earnings Tumble With Memory, Smartphone Demand
Hello, I have a HP 250 G3 with 2 gigs of RAM (having this much in 2019 is torture) and I had a few modules lying around so I decided to upgrade it Unfortunately, inserting the 4GB module makes the caps lock light blink 3 times, which is bad memory indication, I know for a fact that the module is good so why? The blue module is the one that came with it, the green one is the one I want to use, they are both DDR3L modules, so what's the problem? … [Read more...] about HP 250 G3 won’t accept 4GB DDR3L module
I agree and disagree with SR-71 Blackbird. While I agree 16GB is plenty at them moment in gaming I don't think we're much more then a year or two off from 32GB being useful in some games much like 16GB is now. Many games are fine with 8GB but a few really do require 16GB today (recommended spec). So as I said I disagree that going with 32GB won't be useful soon, depending on your definition of the word in regards to PC gaming. I am actually running 32GB now and have been for a year … [Read more...] about 16gb vs 32gb for gaming
You can try. Make sure you have one kit in the same colored DIMM slots and the other kit in their own color slots. That way each kit is attempting to operate in dual channel. It may work, it may not. Memory configurations are fickle no matter the platform but especially when all of the memory didn't come together in a matched and tested set.If you read the following, it will answer many of your questions. Some of it won't, or may not pertain to your situation specifically, but most of it will.*Resolving memory problems and setting up XMP/DOCP/AMP profiles … [Read more...] about Using 2x4gb & 2×8 GB ram simultaneously?
