Slow charging is an issue that iPhone users generally face. This problem is encountered by many iPhone users, using devices launched before iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Fast-charging the iPhone is possible. One method requires buying another Apple product like Apple USB-C to Lightning cable or any of the 18W, 29W, 30W, 61W, or 87W USB-C power adapters. But there are other workarounds that may help you in charging your iPhone at a fast rate. These methods employ the use of devices that do not require you to cough up money for another Apple device to charge your Apple iPhone relatively faster. Using 2A power bank Most of the power banks that are available in the market today come with multiple USB ports. Some of them come with 1A power output while there are others that provide 2A output. KOLKATA: Bharti Airtel stands to lose if Vodafone Idea (VIL) collapses under the weight of its adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues of more than Rs 53,000 crore, said a few analysts. Their view is contrary to the widespread belief that the Sunil Mittal-owned operator would gain in a two-private player market. Without VIL, Bharti Airtel would lose out on benefits of shared towers infrastructure, which could lead to an increase of at least 15% in network and customer servicing costs and hinder its ability to offer affordable tariffs to consumers in future, said the analysts. Bharti Airtel, they said, would also be without a trusted partner, if Vodafone Idea exits, in combating a challenging regulatory environment, especially when facing a strong adversary like Reliance Jio Infocomm, the new telecom market leader. Bharti Airtel chief executive Gopal Vittal recently said it is important that VIL survives and India remains a three-player market. “Bharti may have a tough time … [Read more...] about This is what Vodafone’s exit may mean for Airtel
Switching off nightmaresIt's possible to achieve lucid dreaming, but there haven't been enough trials to establish lucid dreaming therapy as an accepted medical practice. That said, research published in the past decade has kept alive the possibility that such therapy might help people who suffer from persistent nightmares, according to a 2019 review published in the journal Frontiers in Psychology. … [Read more...] about Can you ‘turn off’ a nightmare?
Since then, Marlinspike's nonprofit has put Acton's millions—and his experience building an app with billions of users—to work. After years of scraping by with just three overworked full-time staffers, the Signal Foundation now has 20 employees. For years a bare-bones texting and calling app, Signal has increasingly become a fully featured, mainstream communications platform. With its new coding muscle, it has rolled out features at a breakneck speed: In just the last three months, Signal has added support for iPad, ephemeral images and video designed to disappear after a single viewing, downloadable customizable "stickers," and emoji reactions. More significantly, it announced plans to roll out a new system for group messaging, and an experimental method for storing encrypted contacts in the cloud. … [Read more...] about Signal is finally bringing its secure messaging to the masses
Launched in 2014, the Macan is still in its first generation, albeit with a modest makeover in 2019, the visuals of which are seen mostly in the interior and in new front and rear fascia. From a performance standpoint, last year's refresh made the front wheels a half-inch wider, added some new tires, and swapped out steel for aluminum in the forks that connect the front-axle carrier to the spring and damper. There is little change to the 2020 model. If you want to get into a Macan on the cheap, the base configuration is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, which starts at $50,900. But those never show up in the press fleet. Our review model was the $59,400 Macan S—a 3.0L turbocharged V6 with 348hp (259kW) and 354lb-ft (480Nm) of torque. That powerplant will take you from zero to 60mph in 4.9 seconds with the Sport Chrono package, topping out at 157mph (253km/h). The engine is partnered with fully variable all-wheel drive and a seven-speed transmission. EPA says … [Read more...] about Review: Porsche Macan S will leave you wanting more
