How to access ChatGPT-4

March 15, 2023 by www.gadgetsnow.com Leave a Comment

OpenAI ‘s ChatGPT caused a significant impact since its launch, attracting users and disrupting industries. Now, OpenAI has released the ChatGPT-4 , the most advanced system, which is said to be more creative, collaborative and accurate.

What is ChatGPT-4
As per the company, ChatGPT-4 is a large multimodal model that can handle both image and text inputs and produce text outputs. Although it may not be as proficient as humans in several real-life situations, it demonstrates human-level efficiency on several professional and academic benchmarks.

With ChatGPT-4, users can provide prompts in the form of text and images, similar to the text-only format, to define any language or vision task. However, at present, it generates text-based outputs such as natural language and code, among others, when presented with a combination of text and image inputs. Here’s how you can access ChatGPT-4.

How can you use ChatGPT-4

  1. To begin with, visit the ChatGPT website through the provided link and sign in to your existing account.
  2. In case you do not have an account, create a new one. Once you have successfully logged in, locate the "Upgrade to Plus" option at the bottom left of the screen and click on it.
  3. A pop-up window will appear, and you should click on the green "Upgrade plan" button located under ChatGPT Plus, which provides priority access to new features, including GPT-4.
  4. On the next page, fill in your payment details and billing address on the right-hand side of the screen, and then click on the "Subscribe" button.
  5. After making the payment, you will become a ChatGPT+ subscriber, enabling you to easily use the new GPT-4 model and other older AI models.
  6. To get started, select "GPT-4" from the drop-down menu on your screen and input your queries in the text box on the right-hand side of the screen.
  7. You can then interact with the GPT-4-powered ChatGPT chatbot.

If you do not wish to subscribe to the ChatGPT Plus, head over to the new Bing to experience the GPT-4 in action. Microsoft has confirmed that the new Bing search engine is powered by the GPT-4, the same model powering the ChatGPT-4 chatbot.

GPT-4, the underlying technology that powers ChatGPT Plus or ChatGPT-4 AI chatbot, was unveiled earlier this week. The creators say that GPT-4 is a “large multimodal model” that exhibits “human-level performance” on various professional and academic benchmarks. Unlike the previous-generation GPT-3/ GPT 3.5, the new latest-gen GPT-4 can even understand image inputs and the AI can analyse objects or translate texts within the photo. However, to test the powerful GPT-4 language modal, users need a ChatGPT Plus subscription, which costs $20 per month.
