CALIFORNIA — Dining out is stifled, for now, in California, due to COVID-19 containment efforts. But that doesn’t mean you can’t put a fabulous Easter brunch or dinner on the table.
Restaurants up and down the Golden State are standing by, ready to serve up menu specials with takeout or delivery options to celebrate the holiday. We’ve rounded up a list of some of the best offers. Peruse to see if any appeal.

BOA STEAKHOUSE: The West Hollywood and Santa Monica locations are featuring a four-serving, “Easter Sunday Family Meal” for $180 for Saturday curbside pickup. Included are rolls, gravy, two sides, a selection of Braised Creekstone Brisket or Rosie’s Half Chicken, BOA S’mores Chocolate Torte, and an Easter Fun pack with a dozen eggs, an egg-decorating dye kit and an Easter basket with candy. Bottles of sparkling will be 50-percent off. Guests can call or email [email protected] to place orders by 4 p.m. Friday.
BOSTON MARKET: Heat-and-serve Easter meals will be available for pre-order and pick-up or delivery, with options to serve four to 12 people. The dinners feature ham, turkey, sides and pie. There are 23 locations in the Golden State. Find yours here.
BUCA DI BEPPO: Easter weekend specials, starting at $9 per person, are available for curbside pick up or delivery. Options include: A Good Friday package ($55 for five servings or $110 for 10) offers salad, bread, pasta and cannoli; Easter I package includes salad, bread, pasta and Easter-themed cannoli ($55 for five persons, $110 for 10); and Easter II with bread, salad, pasta and entree, plus Easter-themed cannoli ($65 for five servings and $130 for 10). CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN: On the menu, through Easter Sunday, are three different “Spring Meal Kits” featuring a choice of roasted salmon (two servings for $45 or four servings for $80), pan-roasted chicken (two servings for $40 or four servings for $70) or grilled ribeye (two servings for $65 or four for $120). CAPITAL GRILLE: Order taking begins Friday, April 10 at the Costa Mesa restaurant for a two-person ($95) or a four-to-six-person meal ($185) featuring Whole Rack of Bone-In Filet, plus rolls, salad, sides and dessert. Details here. Availability is limited.
CATTLEMENS: An Easter special, prime-rib family meal can be pre-ordered for pick up on Saturday and Sunday. Priced at $49.95 for two or $79.95 for four, the dinner includes baked potato, salad, sourdough bread and ranch-style beans. Details here. Cattlemens’ locations are in Dixon, Livermore, Petaluma, Rancho Cordova, Redding, Roseville, Selma, and Santa Rosa.
CRACKER BARREL: The down-home eatery is offering “Heat n’ Serve” Easter family meals to go, featuring Spiral Sliced Sugar Cured Ham, Hashbrown Casserole, and choice of three country sides (each serves up to 10), Sweet Yeast Rolls and two Buttermilk Pies. DENNY’S: Just in time for Easter, the chain rolls out its “Shareable Family Packs,” that serve four to five and come in three main varieties: Grand Slam; Build-Your-Own Cheeseburger Pack; and Premium Chicken Tenders Pack. Packs are priced between $24.99 and $28.99 and are available for takeout or delivery every day, including Easter Sunday. See details here.
EDDIE V’S: The seafood eatery is offering a chef-prepared, four-course dinner ($185 for four to six people, or $110 for a two-person serving) that will come with instructions for finishing at home. Order-taking begins April 10 for curbside pick-up or delivery. Locations in La Jolla, Newport Beach, Palm Desert and San Diego.
FOGO DE CHAO: An Easter grilling menu is available through April 12, with four-person servings and such options as filet mignon, ribeye, lamb chops and Atlantic salmon. KRISPY KREME: Add a sweet touch to Easter Sunday with the doughnut shop’s new seasonal spring minis, available through April 12 with three varieties: Spring Chick Mini Doughnut; Bunny Bum Mini Doughnut; and Flower Mini Doughnut. Find locations here.
LAWRY’S THE PRIME RIB: The Beverly Hills restaurant is featuring a holiday menu that must be ordered 24 hours in advance of pick up. Family-style prime rib dinners can be ordered to serve four ($195), six to eight ($325) or 12 to 15 for $525. Other Easter specials offered, plus discounts on wine. See the details here.
LB STEAK, LEFT BANK BRASSERIE & MESO RESTAURANT: The three sister restaurants in San Jose’s Santana Row are featuring an Easter meal that feeds four and includes entree choices of: Whole Roasted Chicken $85; Rib Eye (two 14-ounce cuts) $125; Salmon (four 6-ounce fillets) $95; and Vegetarian Pasta $75. Sides include deviled eggs, salad, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, rolls and a half pecan or blueberry pie. See details here. MAGGIANO’S LITTLE ITALY: Prep for Easter with the $120 “Cold-Prepped Easter Bundle” that serves four to six. The package comes with: 12 Mini Meatballs in Marinara Sauce; Caesar salad; Mom’s Lasagna; Four-Cheese Ravioli; Chicken Piccata; Spaghetti Aglio Olio; Garlic Broccoli; Tiramisu; and two loaves of ciabatta rolls. MALIBU BEACH INN: A special holiday menu is available for pick-up and features a choice of Maple Thyme Glazed Heritage Ham, Grilled Beef Tenderloin or Roasted Ora King Salmon Filet, plus appetizers including crispy fingerling potatoes, heirloom carrots and farmer’s salad, along with carrot cake. MARIE CALLENDER’S: Enjoy a four-serving “Ham Dinner Family Meal” for $49.99, including oven-roasted ham, glaze, mashed potatoes and gravy, veggies and a whole pie. Individual dinners also are available for $13.99 and come with ham, glaze, mashed potatoes, gravy, veggies and cornbread. Or for $14.79, pick up a 9-inch quiche in ham, bacon or vegetable. MATTER OF CRAFT: Newly opened in Huntington Beach, this tap room and scratch kitchen is serving up a Family Meal Pack and specialty Easter brunch pizzas on Saturday and Sunday. Brunch pizza varieties for pre-order are: The Benedict with prosciutto, hollandaise, roasted peppers, mozzarella, eggs and chive; Desayuno Delicioso with soyrizo, potato, avocado-tomatillo salsa, jalapeño, roasted peppers, mozzarella, eggs and cilantro; and The Brunch Savage with roasted mushroom, potato, choice of bacon or crispy Spam, chipotle aioli, mozzarella, eggs and chive. MORTON’S THE STEAKHOUSE. Easter kits for pick-up and grilling include filet mignon, lamb chop “lollipops” or lobster tail with salad and sides. NORMS: All locations in Orange and Los Angeles counties are offering a $35 “Care Package” to feed a family, including a “Better Breakfast” package that includes 15 eggs, one pound each of bacon, sausage and ham, two pounds of hash browns, fresh fruit, rolls or biscuits, juice and milk. OLD VINE KITCHEN + BAR: The Costa Mesa eatery’s “Heat & Serve Easter Brunch” serves six and includes two half-bottles of N.V.Faire La Fete – Creme de Limoux blend, chili verde quiche, fresh buttermilk biscuits with house-made strawberry marmalade, breakfast potatoes and fresh-baked cinnamon rolls. SLAB BARBEQUE: The West Hollywood eatery is taking orders for its $130 Easter meal that serves four people and will be ready for curbside pick-up or delivery Saturday and Sunday. The holiday package includes two pounds of brisket, one whole chicken, a choice of two family-sized sides (coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, collard greens or mac n’ cheese) and carrot cake. THE BLIND PIG KITCHEN + BAR: The Rancho Santa Margarita and Yorba Linda eateries are offering takeout dinners that serve four to six, with entree choice of Black Angus Prime Rib Roast for $180 with seasoning and cooking instructions included, or Smoked Spiral Sliced Ham for $120 that’s ready for roasting. THE HENRY: The Coronado locale is offering a $60 Easter menu for pick-up that serves four to six.
