Suggest you read this first – http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3177179/watt-limit-pcie.html The 1050 Ti has a TDP of 75W and takes all its power from the PCIe slot. The 1060 has a TDP of 120W, and as you say uses an additional power connector. So the 1060 takes 45W more. Their general (minimum) recommend PSU specs are 300W and 400W respectively, but they are general guidelines, and you would do well to sit down and work out your entire system’s approximate power draw, then get a PSU that is 1.5x the draw. This allows for better PSU efficiency (uses less power compared to less efficient PSUs), and doesn’t get so hot, so it probably lives longer), and leaves some room for future upgrades or additions. You’ll want to find out if your PCIe is limited though.
