This week gave us a healthier variety of deals than usual. Whether you’re interested in a new smartphone, gaming consoles, smart speakers, or smart displays, there’s a lot to parse through, and that trend is going to continue through early 2019. The Google Pixel 3 can now be preordered, and there are a few special offers for those who buy in early. Both Verizon and Google’s Project Fi are offering buy-one-get-one promotions for the new phone, though each have different terms. Verizon’s BOGO deal is limited to the 64GB Pixel 3, and works for both new and current subscribers. If you purchase the Pixel 3 at Best Buy, you can get a $100 gift card with purchase. The promo at Project Fi, on the other hand, is only valid if you’re adding someone new to your plan. All eyes are on the Pixel 3, but the Pixel 2 XL is becoming a good deal if you don’t mind settling for last year’s tech. At Best Buy, paying through Verizon’s payment program reduces the cost by almost $300, down to roughly $22 per month for 24 months. After activation, you’ll have only paid $599.
